The Diocese of Cairns established the Professional Standards and Safeguarding Office (PSSO) to provide advice, support and services to the Clergy, Executives, Principals and Managers in the areas of professional conduct, ethical practices, safeguarding of children and at-risk adults, complaint management and internal investigations to support their work in leading and maintaining best practice standards of professionalism and safeguarding in Catholic organisations.
The PSSO is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to lead the implementation and maintenance of the Diocesan Safeguarding policy and the National Catholic Safeguarding Standards. This role will contribute to building the capacity of clergy, employees and volunteers to meet moral, ethical and statutory obligations and the duty of care in relation to safeguarding children, young people or adults-at-risk. This position will be pivotal in embedding safeguarding best practice in recruitment, induction, training, education resources, and recording systems.

The Organisation
The Catholic Diocese of Cairns serves Far North Queensland, extending from Cardwell to the Torres Strait, and west to the Northern Territory border. The Role
An opportunity exists for a skilled Finance Manager who will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision making. Reporting to the Diocesan Business and Catholic Development Fund Manager, the Finance Manager will lead a team of finance officers who provide a range of finance functions including recording, reconciling and reporting of all delegated financial accounts. The successful applicant will be degree qualified, and have high-level financial literacy with ability to interpret and understand financial reports, manage budgets and communicate financial information and trends across a range of stakeholders. Administration Officer - Earlville Parish
· 18-month maximum term contract

OLHOC is seeking a passionate and skilled Administration Officer to provide secretarial, reception and administrative support for the Earlville Parish. This position will be the first point of contact for the parish, and will greet people in an engaging, empathic, friendly and respectful manner. The successful applicant will have a high-level of attention to detail, compassion and empathy, excellent communication skills and proven time-management skills.
Reporting to the Parish Priest, the Administration Officer will, amongst other duties, coordinate church bookings, maintain databases and registers, produce the weekly bulletin and liturgical materials, undertake general office responsibilities and support volunteer participation and record keeping. The ability to maintain the strictest of privacy and confidentiality and understanding of the Catholic Church and Sacraments (Baptism, Confirmation, reception of Holy Communion, Weddings etc), is essential. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word and publisher is highly desirable.

Position based in Genazzano Retreat - Lake Tinaroo
Wanting to progress your career in hospitality, or transition from your current career, an exciting opportunity exists for you in tropical North Queensland.
Genazzano Retreat, an idyllic 96-bed retreat and campgrounds located at Lake Tinaroo, caters for school, community and corporate groups. Due to growing demand, we are seeking two duty managers to assist the current Managers in the operations of the Centre who cater for school, community and corporate groups.
Ideal candidates will have experience in some of the following:
On-site training will be provided.
You do not need to have hospitality specific experience, and we welcome applications from candidates who have worked in childcare, aged care and other related industries.
Most importantly we need team players who are willing to learn on the job, show initiative, and strive for the highest level of service to our guests.
