Atherton, QLD – June 18, 2024 – The community of Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Atherton is thrilled to announce the reopening of their beloved church following extensive repairs from last year's arson attack. The congregation warmly invites all interested individuals to join them for a special Reopening Mass on June 23 at 11:30am.
The arson attack, which occurred on November 11 of last year, caused significant damage to the historic church. Thanks to the dedication and hard work of the community and restoration teams, the church has been beautifully restored. This Reopening Mass is a celebration of resilience, community spirit, and faith.
