Cairns Catholic Youth Ministry encourages and supports young people in the life of the Church.
Our vision is guided by the Australian Catholic Bishops’ goals for comprehensive youth ministry, which are:
- To foster the personal and spiritual growth of each young person
- To draw young people into responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community
- To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.

Youth Ministry Roundtable
The Youth Ministry Roundtable is a dynamic space where young people (ages 16–30) come together to share ideas, ignite change, and shape the future of the Church.

Local Youth Groups
Ablaze Young Adult’s Group, Northern Beaches Parish
A fortnightly Young Adults Praise & Worship gathering is held at Holy Cross Church, Northern Beaches. The group meets every second Friday from 6:30 pm, for music, prayer and fellowship. For more information, contact the Northern Beaches Parish at northernbeaches.parish@cairns.catholic.org.au
Mareeba Parish Youth Group
Held on the first Friday of each month at the Mareeba Theatre Group Hall, this youth group welcomes young people aged 12–17 for an evening of community, fun and faith. From 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, the group gathers to grow in faith, explore the beauty of the Catholic tradition, and build meaningful connections with one another.
