Cairns Catholic Family Retreat Day
When: Saturday 10 October – 9.30am to 4.30pm
Where: Genazzano Retreat, Atherton Tablelands
Join families from across the diocese for a day of inspiration, prayer, fellowship and fun in an idyllic setting. Whether you’re a family with young children, young adults, or somewhere in between, this retreat offers an opportunity to step away from the busyness of daily life and journey in faith together.
The weekend will include:
- Prayer experiences for the whole family
- Fellowship and making new connections
- Targeted sessions for men, women, teens and children
- Formation that strengthens family relationships
- Age-appropriate activities for children and young people
Meet Your Presenters
Pat and Kym Keady have been married for 30 years and have been serving in leadership within the Catholic Church since meeting on NET over 32 years ago. As leaders, authors, and speakers in their own right, they are passionate about family, evangelisation, and renewal in the Church. Drawing from decades of ministry, marriage, and family life, Pat and Kym bring a wealth of wisdom, authenticity, and practical experience.
Pat and Kym are incredibly proud of their three adult children and five (and counting!) grandchildren, whose lives continue to fuel their passion for raising up families on mission and inspiring future generations to know and follow Jesus.
Want to stay for the weekend?
Camping is available at the venue for families wishing to stay overnight. Accommodation arrangements are made directly with Genazzano Retreat Centre and are not organised or managed by the Diocese.

Your registration fee helps cover the cost of venue hire, catering, retreat resources, activity materials and guest presenters, enabling us to offer a meaningful and enriching experience for families.
Cost:
$50 per adult
$40 per child 13 – 17 yrs
$30 per child 6 – 12 yrs
Under 5 free
* Families will only be charged for a maximum of three children. Any additional children attend free of charge.
