Key dates
The Diocesan Synod will begin on Pentecost Sunday, June 8, 2025, and conclude on Pentecost Sunday, May 24, 2026. Through prayer, listening, and dialogue, the primary task of this Synod will be to provide guidance on establishing ongoing consultative processes and assisting in the formation of a Diocesan Pastoral Council. This will help us to promote the spiritual and pastoral life of our diocese in fidelity to the teachings of the Church and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
We will begin with a plenary session on Saturday, 14 June 2025, open to all members of our diocese, as an opportunity to gather in faith, prayer, and shared discernment. Appointed Synod members—comprising clergy, religious, and lay representatives—will then meet regularly throughout the year, to build upon the work of the plenary session.
