The team of practitioners make visits in each deanery with the aim of responding compassionately and appropriately to the holistic needs of anyone suffering through a crisis event. The support can range from helping those suffering from grief, loss or bereavement, to sharing scripture, prayer and meditation, or performing sacraments and other rituals.

What Does Pastoral Care Look Like?

The pastoral care team members provide emotional and spiritual support within acute, aged care and community home settings.  The support can range from helping those suffering from grief, loss or bereavement, to sharing scripture, prayer and meditation, or performing sacraments and other rituals.  The trained team members do one-on-one visits and can provide support to family members and other care providers.
