Mass begins at 2:30pm, followed by a beautiful procession of the statue through the streets of Mareeba. Afterwards, join us on the school oval for an afternoon of authentic Italian flavours:

  • BBQ, gnocchi, and homemade pasta
  • Sweet treats like cannoli, crostoli, nougat, and assorted biscuits

Enjoy family fun with a Pesca (lucky dip) offering great prizes, face painting for the kids, and live entertainment by Brisbane performer Fortunato Isgro, singing a mix of English and Italian classics. Everyone is welcome to dance!

Two-Day Festa Program:

Saturday:

  • Dinner Dance Event: A delicious 3-course meal, entertainment, and dancing.

Sunday:

Feast of Santo Niño

The feast of Santo Niño is celebrated on the 3rd Sunday of January at the 10.00am Mass when we assemble with our Philippine community. The focus of the feast is on the child Jesus. After Mass we enjoy the culinary delights of the Philippines, in the covered area of the school.
