God said, ‘Let the earth produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants, and fruit trees bearing fruit with their seed inside, on the earth’. And so it was. The earth produced vegetation: plants bearing seed in their several kinds, and trees bearing fruit with their seed inside in their several kinds. God saw that it was good….

The flora that started in window 13, progresses through primitive cycads and pandanus, dry woodland eucalypts until in a growing intensity of greenness the super abundance of the giant tree ferns and mosses of the rainforest are depicted. Finally, the vegetation becomes a heathland and mangroves at the coast.

 In the spirit of reconciliation, we acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands in which the Diocese of Cairns sits.
