The Roman Catholic Trust Corporation for the Diocese of Cairns operates the Catholic Development Fund (CDF) to further the mission of the Church through harnessing the financial resources of the Diocesan Catholic Community.

The Catholic Development Fund (the Fund) is not prudentially supervised by the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority nor has it been examined or approved by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.
Therefore, an investor in the Fund will not receive the benefit of the financial claims scheme or the depositor protection provisions in the Banking Act 1959 (Cth). Investments in the Fund are intended to be a means for investors to support the charitable, religious and educational works of the Diocese of Cairns and for whom the consideration of profit are not of primary relevance in the investment decision. Furthermore, investors should be aware that neither the Fund nor the Roman Catholic Trust Corporation for the Diocese of Cairns is subject to the normal requirements to have a disclosure statement or Product Disclosure Statement or be registered under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).
CDPF Limited, a company established by the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference, has indemnified the Fund against any liability arising out of a claim by investors in the Fund.

Personal Information you provide: CDF will generally collect personal information held about an individual through forms filled out by you, by face-to-face meetings and interviews and telephone calls. CDF also collects and uses information about your use of our service for monitoring and evaluation purposes so that we are able to provide our customers with improved and more relevant products and services.
CDF may use your information to notify you about your account details, new services or promotions from time to time. If at any stage you no longer wish to receive these communications from CDF you can contact us and make this request
The information we collect from you is strictly confidential. CDF will not disclose your personal information to any third parties, other than those who are contracted to us to keep the information confidential. We may disclose information where you would reasonably expect us to do so or where the disclosure is for an activity related to the purpose for which your information was originally collected. We may disclose personal information, including sensitive information to anyone you authorise us to disclose information to.
There may be exceptional circumstances for disclosing your information, such as when there are grounds to believe that the disclosure is necessary to prevent a threat of life or health, or for law enforcement purposes.
All CDF staff are required to respect the confidentiality of clients' information, the CDF has in place steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure by use of various methods including locked storage of paper records and password access rights to computerised records.
